Haven't tested lately as it's an absolute nightmare of testing and too much time to reverse Eng malware to make sure it's real malware and not just a fake cert or tampered .DLL. I'd say with certainty not much has changed with both. AVG, Avast, and the rest are junk, except - Norton, Kasper are good. The worst is Giant, I mean Windows defender, then Giant, bought by the biggest criminals, microsuck. Google and microsuck are bigger criminals than the bh hackers. I think microsuck patched the exploits in defender in 2025, for now. LOL
Never trust or use defender, even though all Gates wives cry how amazing it is. You might need Malwarebytes/hitman, but not as a virus finder, for browser jackers, they suck as an anti-virus. Before you believe any website, check the list of malware they tested- malware is everything, Trojans, virus, worms, ECT, and then who found them in the wild, then you'll see the truth, if you enjoy going over a list with thousands of bits of malware. Too many sites go by other sites, who are probably paid by people to boost sales. You should also have wireshark, autoruns, these will show you if malware exploited your PC to the internet, auto will show any malware running. If autoruns doesn't show any strange process, and something isn't right, turn off and remove power from board, could be RAM infected, then run a scan in safe mode a watch auto again. Tried to keep it short a simple, if I explained everything and checked grammar, it would be 100 times longer. lol
